These awards are made on a competitive basis. The ICMC Student Meritorious Paper Award consists of an award certificate and a $1,000 honorarium.<\/p>\n<h2>2025 Student Meritorious Paper Award &#8211; Presented at CEC\/ICMC 2027<\/h2>\n<p>The following paper was selected for the Student Meritorious Paper Award presented at the 2027 Conference and published in the <em>IOP Conference Series: Materials Science and Engineering<\/em>, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/iopscience.iop.org\/issue\/1757-899X\/1345\/1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Vol. 1345, 2026<\/a><\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em><strong>To be announced<\/strong><\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>2027 Requirements<\/h2>\n<p>All students who successfully apply for an Early Registration Fee Waiver will <strong>automatically<\/strong> be entered for the ICMC Meritorious Paper Award. The full manuscript can be submitted up to the manuscript submission deadline for the conference. It is this full manuscript that will be judged.<\/p>\n<p>Students who do not apply for the Early Registration Fee Waiver and want to have their manuscript entered for the ICMC Meritorious Paper Award should contact <strong><a href=\"mailto:hellstrom@asc.magnet.fsu.edu?subject=CEC\/ICMC%202027%20Student%20Meritorious%20Paper%20Award%20Inquiry\">Prof. Eric Hellstrom<\/a><\/strong> during the conference to indicate that they want their manuscript to be considered for the award.<\/p>\n<p>More details:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>All students must submit an acceptable manuscript following the CEC\/ICMC format by the regular manuscript submission deadline for the Conference.<\/li>\n<li>To be considered for the award, the student must personally present their paper as an oral or poster presentation in an ICMC session at the 2027 Conference.<\/li>\n<li>The 2027 ICMC Student Meritorious Paper Award(s) will be decided during the paper peer review process following the 2027 Conference.\n<ol style=\"list-style-type: lower-roman;\">\n<li>The winner(s) will be notified and receive the monetary award ($1,000) and printed certificate by mail.<\/li>\n<li>The winner(s) will be announced on the 2029 website.<\/li>\n<li>The winner(s) will be recognized publicly at the 2029 Conference.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>It has been a long-standing practice of the International Cryogenic Materials Conference (ICMC) to present awards to students for outstanding work.
