The recipient may be currently active in the field of cryogenic materials or retired.<\/p>\n<h2>Award<\/h2>\n<p>The award will be presented at the biennial CEC\/ICMC Conference. It consists of:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A $2,500 (USD) honorarium<\/li>\n<li>A plaque designed by the Awards Committee<\/li>\n<li>Up to $1,500 (USD) to cover personal travel expenses to accept the award<\/li>\n<li>Waived registration for the current conference<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>How to Nominate<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Nominations are encouraged and may be submitted by January 12, 2027.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The nomination package must be submitted by a person in the field of cryogenic materials (the lead nominator) and contain the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A letter from the lead nominator describing:\n<ul>\n<li>The nominee\u2019s service to the field of cryogenic materials<\/li>\n<li>The nominee\u2019s service to ICMC<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Two support letters from other people in the field describing the nominee\u2019s service to the field of cryogenic materials and to ICMC<\/li>\n<li>The nominee\u2019s CV<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Submit complete nomination packages by email to:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><strong>Prof. Eric Hellstrom<\/strong><br \/>\nICMC 2027 Awards Committee Chair<br \/>\n<a title=\"hellstrom@asc.magnet.fsu.edu\" href=\"mailto:hellstrom@asc.magnet.fsu.edu?subject=ICMC%202027%20Distinguished%20Service%20Award%20Nomination\"><strong>Email<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Nomination deadline: January 12, 2027<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Nominations Now Open The ICMC Distinguished Service Award is given to a person in recognition of their exceptional service to the field of cryogenic materials and to ICMC.
