SPECIAL SESSIONS

As part of this year’s ICMC program, there will be an Invited Panel Session on the topic of Superconducting Wind Turbines, Rotating Machines, and Materials. The focus will be on the cryogenic materials aspects of these rotating superconducting machines. The Invited Panel session will be in two sequential sessions on Wednesday afternoon, following that morning’s plenary talk on superconducting machines for electric aircraft. The panel includes an international list of speakers representing industrial, laboratory, and university perspectives. The panel is charged with describing the potential for future developments, and well as challenges and opportunities in this area. After a slate of talks, on open forum panel discussion will be moderated. We encourage those with questions for the panel to submit them to Tim Haugan or Mike Sumption, or just bring them on the day.
